The Time for Change is Now

The world is facing incredibly complex problems. Who will help solve them?

The time for change has come. It’s now time to end gender, racial, and wealth inequalities, and to save the planet. It’s time to ensure women are in positions of influence and power, to end homelessness and to work towards aboriginal/indigenous reconciliation.

CEOs like Warren Buffet, Bill and Melinda Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg are currently investing in solving some of our toughest sanitation, climate, and poverty issues. Meanwhile, Greta Thunberg, still a teenager, is leading the next generation of pragmatic realists, and broadening her message in calling for social, environmental, racial, and climate justice for all.

Assets in dedicated environmental, social, and governance (ESG) funds are expected to hit $30 trillion globally by the end of the decade and ESG funds performed better than regular investments during the pandemic. Consumers and investors are speaking out, both with their words and their wallets, demanding corporations change their ways. It’s no longer acceptable for businesses not to know what their carbon footprint is, or how their employees are being treated. Time is running out, leading consumers and investors to demand these changes now.

There is an intense urgency to solving our toughest social and environmental problems. Until now, the business model for solving global challenges was largely to wait and see who would pay for a solution. We know now, however, that with $30 trillion in investment funding, it is viable to build solutions in areas like poverty, affordable housing, and climate. We believe that the next mega-corporations have the potential to solve environmental and social challenges through major financial investments and ESG mandates.

We are hopeful. We are hopeful because if there is one thing these last two years have shown us, it’s that the world is calling for change. The younger generation is leading the way and they are demanding a brighter future. As a result, many corporations are listening and stepping up, tracking environmental and social governance data, to ensure that we do leave a better world for the next generation.

At Riddl, we are taking part in solving the world’s toughest problems. We are helping to solve the Riddl.
